A tribute In Memory of Dawn Brancheau
This is a tribute too one of the greatest whale trainers known.
Her name is Dawn Brancheu.

WHAT HAPPENED::
On 24th February 2010, at 2:00 pm, Dawn had just finished the show "Believe"... well not exactly finished it. They cancelled it, as the whales were playing up and were not responding to commands.
So she was helping re- pod the orcas.

After Dawn was with Tilikum during "Dine with Shamu" she was stroking his rostrum, and apparently her long ponytail hit him on the nose. He swam round, leaped up and grabbed her hair, over 40 horrified visitors to the Seaworld park, were watching as 12,000 pound Tili, leaped up and grabbed her hair pulling her under the water. He had her firmly in his mouth, and was refusing to let go.
As some very shocked people were screaming and shouting, trainers were calling the Ambulances, and were setting off the alarm as this was an emergency.

Dawn now trapped in Tilikums jaw, was trying to use hand signals too make him let her go. He did.
But as she swam towards the surface, Tilikum grabbed her again this time killing her.

The 40 year old seniour trainer "Dawn Brancheau" will be dearly missed in all of our hearts..
